Prepare Your Documents

Required Documents

Ensure a smooth arrival by having all the necessary documents ready before you travel to Tanzania.

Valid Passport

Your passport must be valid for at least six months from the date of entry into Tanzania. Ensure you have at least one blank page for the entry stamp.

Visa (if required)

If your nationality requires a visa, ensure you have obtained your e-Visa or visa-on-arrival approval before travel. Print the e-Visa confirmation to present at immigration.

Yellow Fever Certificate

You may be asked to show proof of onward or return travel. Keep a copy of your flight itinerary handy.

  • Yellow Fever Vaccination: Required if travelling from a yellow fever endemic country. The certificate must be valid.
  • Malaria Prevention: Tanzania is a malaria-risk area. Consult your doctor about antimalarial medication and take precautions (mosquito repellent, nets).
  • Other Vaccinations: Typhoid, hepatitis A, and tetanus are recommended. Check with your healthcare provider well in advance of travel.
  • Health Declaration: Some travellers may need to complete a health declaration form upon arrival. Check current requirements.
