General Questions

Booking & Payments

Simply contact us via our website, email, or WhatsApp. Our team will discuss your preferences, travel dates, and budget, then create a tailor-made itinerary for your approval. Once confirmed, we'll guide you through the booking and payment process.

We accept bank transfers (wire transfers), credit card payments (Visa, Mastercard), and PayPal. A deposit of 30% is required to confirm your booking, with the balance due 60 days before your arrival. Specific payment terms may apply for last-minute bookings.

Our cancellation policy varies depending on the tour and accommodation providers. Generally, we offer a full refund (less a small administration fee) for cancellations made more than 90 days before arrival. Cancellations made within 30 days of arrival may not be refundable. We recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment.

Yes, we strongly recommend comprehensive travel insurance that covers medical emergencies, trip cancellation, lost baggage, and evacuation. It is a condition of booking with Sky Safari Tours that you have adequate travel insurance in place.

Safari & Travel

The best time depends on what you want to see. The dry season (June–October) offers excellent wildlife viewing with clear skies and animals gathering around water sources. The wet season (November–May) brings lush landscapes, fewer crowds, and the wildebeest calving season (January–February). We can help you choose the best time for your preferences.

We use custom-built 4x4 safari vehicles with pop-up roofs for excellent game viewing. All vehicles are equipped with comfortable seats, charging ports for your devices, cool boxes for drinks, and are maintained to high safety standards.

Most visitors require a visa to enter Tanzania. You can obtain a visa on arrival at the airport or apply online in advance. Visa requirements vary by nationality, so we recommend checking with your local Tanzanian embassy or consulate before you travel.

Yellow fever vaccination is required for all visitors arriving from countries with risk of yellow fever transmission. We also recommend vaccinations for hepatitis A and B, typhoid, and tetanus. Please consult with your travel health professional well in advance of your trip.

Destinations & Accommodation

Each park offers a unique experience. The Serengeti is famous for its vast plains and the Great Migration. Ngorongoro Crater is a world within a crater with incredible wildlife density. Tarangire is known for its large elephant herds and majestic baobab trees. We recommend visiting all three for the ultimate Tanzania safari experience.

We offer a range of accommodation options to suit every budget and style – from comfortable tented camps and eco-lodges to luxury safari lodges and boutique hotels. All properties are carefully selected for their location, service, and sustainability practices.

Absolutely. Many of our travellers combine a safari with a relaxing beach holiday on Zanzibar. Domestic flights make it easy to travel between the safari circuit and the island. We can create a seamless itinerary that includes both experiences.

Kilimanjaro & Zanzibar

Kilimanjaro is a non-technical climb, but it requires a good level of fitness and mental determination. We recommend training with regular hiking, cardio exercise, and strength conditioning for several months before your trek. Our guides are experienced in helping you acclimatise and reach the summit safely.

Zanzibar enjoys a warm tropical climate year-round. The best time for beach holidays is during the dry season (June–October and December–February), which offers sunny skies and calm seas. The rainy seasons (March–May and November) bring fewer crowds and lower rates.

Flights from Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport to Zanzibar are available daily, taking approximately 1.5 hours. We can arrange transfers and domestic flights as part of your itinerary.
